Help with power steering rack

I have power steering but the rack has decided to take a dump on me. The part number for the one I used ce from auto zone and is part number 6462, and I'm being told that part has been discontinued, does anyone know anything about pt#6406? Or is there a better choice?
Thanks

Steering rack

Which ratio would you recommend, 3.0, 2.5, or 2.25 and why?
Thanks

How many turns is the rack you now have? Are you happy with it? If you don't have any complaints I'd go back with the same ratio. Generally I recommend the #6406 3 turn ratio for street or mostly street use. I do lots of autocross and track time with mine using the 2.25 turn rack. It's go-cart quick and just what I want but may not be the best choice for everyone.

Good luck,
Jeff

There is a lot more to a steering rack than ratio.
The SN95 racks are much better than the Fox ones. The Cobra Mustang racks are even better.

Here is a good article.
