dashboard turn knobs

Who sells the original looking dash knobs? Not the ones that come with the heater but the real old school British sports car looking ones.

I think that if you find some reasonably priced there would be a lot of people interested to know where they could be obtained. There have been a couple of posts previously and I think Cobra restorers and some British car restoration site were referenced but brother were they expensive. Good luck with your search!

ERA sells them for $22 each.

Find them here, scroll down the page half way:
Options list

Here are the ones I bought from them

A '58 AC Ace Dash

ERA also sells a heavy duty Delco starter switch with a re-threaded chrome bezel that is very close to looking original.

Try Moss Motors or The Roadster Factory. They are both suppliers for British sports cars. The things I have bought didn't seem that expensive but I could be wrong.

Here's a link for Triumph dash knobs. You can get six assorted knobs for $32.95. Scroll down to part #44.

Came across this while looking for something else. To make those knobs work on a round shaft, I used some 1/4" brass rod that I chucked-up into the lathe and gun-drilled, then epoxied the rod into the knob and drilled / tapped one side for a small set screw... worked great on a bunch of knobs.

Check out this link: Installing an Original Lucas Fan Knob on the FFR/Vintage Air Heater Control

Chris,

Thanks for posting that link. I haven't seen that one.

I think it was you, a while back, that got me looking at the Superperformance/Hillman site. I just can not find that knob. They have knobs and a cool wiper switch with a wiper knob but not the fan control like you've got.
