This year, Team PDG who races the only fully prepared FFR GTM in the world, has secured their 2012 25 hour race line up. Guess what?! One of our new drivers started his first professional race debut in a 289 FIA Cobra! Can you guess who this is?

He went on winning at leMans, Daytona, Sebring. He even won a class overall at Daytona 24 with Paul Newman! He also made seveeral appearances in nascar.
We tested with Elliott this weekend with the PDG GTM. He loved the car and will be driving the 25 hour race with our team. Yes he did confirm that he won Lemans and had a class win and a podium finish. I believe he said that he was part of the Mazda team. This man is a true icon of road racing! He tested and cut the second fasted personal lap time of our short history at Thunderhill. He is knowledgeable in every phase of auto racing. He is one amazing guy. He is a very active driver laying down some impressive lap speeds of over 225 MPH this year. (in other cars of course). We enjoyed a great two days of conversation and learning from one of the great masters of American auto racing. He told us the story of his 289 Cobra and his first pro race. He was leading the race and the car broke. The eventual winner was a Cobra and his lap times were 1.5 seconds slower than his and till this day, claims he should have won that race! He could not afford to fix the car and sold it for $4,900.00. a 200 dollar profit and then offered a ride in another car. The rest is history. His Cobra now resides in San Francisco area and is for sale for several hundred thousand dollars.
The Paul Newman thing, it was a podium finish in the Ferrari 365, I stand corrected.
