My wife and I had a great trip to FFR to pickup our kit this weekend. Everything went very smooth, much easier than I ever imaged. I can't count how many thumbs up we got from other cars on the road and comments at every stop. Even the customs officer had lots of questions and not the type you would expect from a CBSA officer....they were real car guy questions and I didn't even have to pull out my ppw from Transport Canada. Here's a couple of pics.
Hey Jonathan -- glad to hear you FINALLY got the TC stuff taken care of and the car home.
Maybe your guy at eh border was the same gang i had --easy as pie to get thru!
Would love to ride the bike up in the coming days to see the new car! Congrats!

Congratulations. Sounds like you had an easy time. I got to the border only to discover that the FFR paperwork for customs did not make it into the envelope they gave me. Thank god they took my word for the value of the "car parts". Was a bowel loosening moment when I realized it was missing right at the wicket for paying my taxes.
I also got the thumbs up and one guy on a motorcycle who passed me his card through the open window at 110km/hr on the interstate. He makes parts for custom cars.
