This is Scott from the old Midwest Cobras in Toledo Ohio. Back when Bob and I had Midwest going we built around thirty cars in the five year span we were open. Unfortonatly when Bob passed away, I kind of lost my passion to keep building the cars. Since 2009, I have started my own fab buisness, and I am in the same shop as the old Midwest. Here is the thing, I still have alot of new left over parts from all of our builds. I'm not coming on here to sell any services, or promote, I just want to help anyone out that might be able to use anything we might have left over. I will try to go on the classified section, and start listing the pieces I have sitting there. Thanks everybody, and I am glad to see some of our past builds on here going strong.
Bought a few pieces from you way back when... I always get great comments about the nascar style trunk prop i bought from you...
Thanks, I still have a box of those left over. I finished 3 GTM's after Bob passed away, and everything for the Cobras got shelfed, never to be used again. It was just like a light switch, one day building cars having fun, and then bam, I just lost the fun over night.
Hey Scott! Good to hear from you. I have Mk3 #5125 purchased from Midwest as a roller back when the business was shutting down. I heard recently that you were still at the same location. I don't think you will have any problems listing your parts in the classifieds like the rest of us.
I will be very interested to see/know if you have any more of the inner fender/engine compartment panels available. Everyone who sees my car who has built an FFR comments about them. They really clean up the engine compartment. I have another build coming up, and would really like a set.
I still have the patterns for the engine bay panels so I can make as many sets as needed. I will get a parts list together, and post it up on the classifieds.
thanks, Scott
Hey Scott, good to hear from you as well, I have a set of your panels in my car and love them. As Ed says they really clean up the engine bay.

Can someone post a pic showing the engine bay panels? Also, is it something that can be installed after the fact or is it really a pre-engine install item?

The setup from Midwest had two panels on the pass side, seen in this picture.
And one panel on the driver side, seen in this picture. Note I modified this one slightly to fit a little differently around the clutch cable, but still the basic part.
I would say these most likely could be installed in an already completed car (e.g. engine in) but probably would depend on what engine. With a big block or a mod motor, might be a little tight. HTH.
I got a few PM's and I hope I got everyone answered. Again, I wasn't coming on here to sell our services, just wanted to let people know we had extra FFR parts available. I do have the templates for the engine bay covers, and I also have a few new trunk prop rods left. I have not seen the new MK4, so I am not sure if there is a differance between the Mk3, and Mk4 in the engine bay, or the bottom of the trunk. I'll do my best to help you guys out, but don't want to step on anyones toes, because I am not a paid sponsor of this site.
Thanks, Scott

YES! I am one of those folks that wants these panels. I saw Paul's awesome car at the Woodward Dream Cruise and ever since then I have been thinking about those panels. Scott, if you have the panels or the template to build the panels, I would love to buy a set as I am in great need of them. I will send you a PM with my contact info.

I don't like to be the bad guy, but he needs to become a supporting (paid) vendor to sell his products. If you want to contact him about stuff, you will need to do it via PM.
Sorry
