Gas filler tube donut

Anyone know the Ford part number for the donut that seals the gas filler tube to the tank? I have a complete kit 3.1 and in checking out the sender seal leak, I see the donut is also split.

I have seen the drawing in searching this issue, but am unsure of the part number. Could it be the 9034 or 9072 shown in some diagrams?

Thanks, Ralph.

If your 3.1 complete kit is using the SS fill tube, the donut is a F5 special - it is larger than the standard Ford part because the fill tube is a bigger OD than the stock Ford fill tube.

I got 2 of them, I was wondering why one has a bigger hole.

Yes, I have the large SS filler tube (about 2"). The donut that came with my kit seems to have the smaller hole (about 1 1/4"), and that may be why it split. It does not have any of the small "ears" on the side either.

You mention the F5 special. Mine does not have an numbers on the side. Is that a FFR number, or special Ford item. Either way, where do I get the special? I notice Breeze sells them, but not sure which one.

I had a thread about this a few weeks back.. Mine tore and was leaking. Its an MKIV complete kit/tank etc.

Someone told me to get a Dorman, #577-502 replacement. It worked perfectly. No leaks. I got it on Amazon.

someone else chimed in that Napa sells a pretty nice one too.

Obviously Ford makes them too I think the 9072 is the one we want, but I would double check that.

HTH
