Side pipe rattle

Just about finished with 7026. Took it to DMV the other day for a VIN and the rattle in the passenger side pipe is so loud that it's embarassing. S/S pipes from FF with ceramic coating as the discoloring bothered me from an appearance standpoint. I'd like to try the screw fix but I see conflicting input on the size of the screw (anywhere from 3/4" to 2") and the location. Can anyone provide some definmitive input on the procedure to be followed?

Thanx
Craig

I have read about quite a few new side pipes having that issue. Contact FFR. They have been replacing them.

Same issue with 7189 with about 1500 kms. on it....was told to "Stick a stainless steel screw in it"!

Yeah thanks...then I'll throw some bailing wire around it in case the screw comes loose.

Yep, Self tapping screw on the backside will fix it. Had to do it on my driver side pipe.

I had the same problem, called FFR, and they resolved the problem. They are the best.

Me Too

I have just over 4000 miles on the car since licencing this April (Mark 4). About 500 miles ago I noticed a slight rattle from the driver's side pipe so it looks like I have the same issue. Where exactly does the screw go as it is probably too much mileage for FFR to do anything about it.

The part that is rattling is the baffle inside where it is welded to the outside pipe. So, on the backside of the pipe just before the turndown.

Call FFR. I did, even as the second owner. They sent me a new pipe with no problems. They will take care of you.
