You can purchase the smallest diameter hose you can find to protect the wheel from getting scratched by the wire. I actually used electrical tape on the wire.

Sweet thanks!

I know if you don't have any thing nice to say don't say anything at all, but that thing is a real peace of art work. I like the wire on the rim to hold the bugger weld.
I think the lables are incorrect in the below photo. On my car they are "Bottom" only and "Back" and "Bottom". If I could bring myself to sell mine, I'd spend the day crying if it was wrecked. Nice car though.

The car is actually Hunters, he built it, but the guy he sold it to crashed it and from what I can tell took piss poor care of it. The wires on the rims were there to hold the spinners from coming off but for some reason they were cut and not removed.
I've seen Hunters build pictures and I am sure this guy just beat the piss out of it and let it rust to hell.

I checked out the ebay site...I love the way the guy says "easy fix" for the damage. I am not sure its that easy. Dooable, yes, but not easy.
But then again I'm not a fiberglass guy....so what do I know?

I saw this very car for sale at Carlise last June. The seller is full of crap, the frame is damaged and has been poorly welded. If I remember correctly it was listed for 22k at the show.

Appears to be a very basic aged donor build. I think he would have been doing well to get 22K BEFORE it was crashed.
You gotta figure that after you get a new body and pay for the prep & paint work, you're looking at spending another $6-7k minimum...right? Plus any other parts/repairs needed.
Maybe you're in the car for $24k. Probably not too bad unless there is a good amount of hidden frame damage.
Wonder what kind of skills the buyer has? Hope he chimes in here to let us know the plans.
When I bought the car is was a basic build that didn't run for more than 100 yards due to over heating and electrical issues. I pretty much went through the entire thing and turned it into what I called a "California Car" meaning I could literally hop into it at any time and drive from the east coast to the west coast and not be concerned with its durability...AND I DROVE THAT CAR!!!! I added all the badging, heated seats, and hidden speakers with Iphone connectivity, GPS...etc.
I know the damage to the car as I'm the one who totaled it. Let's just say it was considered "totaled" for a reason and I never lost a second of sleep over it. LOL!!!
So was the car totaled by the insurance company? That's a tidbit of information I didn't see on the listing. Seems a bit iffy.
"I will be happy to sell the car with a Bill of Sale so that you can register it with a new title as a newly built kit or with the paperwork that I received after the accident. (this is the buyer's choice)"

Yea, shady as hell. That's the problem with these cars, they easily be sold as stolen, totaled etc because all you have to to do is go through the registration process again.
