Bare metal protectant
Well, Im slowly working through my corrosion issue on my roadster. The front end and engine compartment are basically disassembled and most of my issues are repaired. My powder coater is loving all the extra business, but I have to admit, he has been very fair with me through all this. I have used my vibratory tumbler to clean my hardware and then used Eastwoods metal blackening kit to coat and protect it. My results with it turned out pretty good. My question is this... I still have a few (very few) bare metal fasteners and a few bare aluminum panels I didnt remove. What is a good protectant that i can treat them with and not have to remove them. I dont want to use a lube like wd40, id like something more permanent, but not like a clear laucquer/enamel either. Has anyone had any luck with anything like that???
Thanks,
Bobby
