Tire Recommendations
I have a Mark 4 kit with the 17x9.5 and 17x10.5" wheels. I intend to use 315/35-17 tires on the rear, but I'm not sure what size would be best on the front. The car does not have power steering. Would 275/40's on the front make the steering significantly harder? Do 275's cause rubbing anywhere? My other option for the front are 245/45-17's. What are your experiences with front tire size?

255/40/17 would work best.

255's are a safe bet. I run 275's with PS and no rubbing but you need '94/'95 SN95 or '87-'93 Fox spindles to pull it off. Your wheel offset must be compatible as well.

I run 275s on the front as do most of my FFR autocross buddies. One runs 295s.
