Last decision before placing order

the last decision I have before placing order is for the IRS gear ratio, 3.27-3.55. I am building a nice street cobra, 5.0 Coyote, Complete Kit, IRS, TKO 600 (TCET 5008) .64, FFR Wilwood upgraded 12.88 six piston front brakes and 12.19 rear brakes.
thanks for all the help

Hi Dan,
The Coyote engine runs so well even at low RPM's the 3.27 gear will be fine. That said the Coyote likes to rev so the 3.73 works real good.
If you need a Coyote or TKO or the IRS, I sell all of it.

For the Coyote go with 3.55 because it likes to rev. 3.27's for boost application.

Cheers

Yup

Hi,
It's amazing how well it runs with the 3.31 gears. Very impressive when you can be in 5th gear at 50 mph without bucking!!!

With my first stab at the gear ratio I went with 3.27. I hated it... I switched them out for 3.73 and WOO HOO. Every gear is better and now my fifth at .675 is actually usable. Before I turned around 2100 rpm at 80 mph. After, it's about 2400 at 80 and I even get 23 MPG. I debated between 3.55 and 3.73. I made the right choice.
BTW, When you ask 50 people about gear ratio you get 50 different answers. Good luck.

I chose all of the underlined stuff too.

Here's something I posted a couple weeks ago when I was exactly where you are. I only got one reply so you're already doing better than me.

There's a calculator I linked in that post that calculates speeds/RPM. It's interesting but until you feel it in the seat of your pants I don't think you can be 100% sure.

I ended up having Mike put mine together. I got everything I wanted and decided on 3.55 final drive ratio.

W/ the .64 fifth gear and the motors rev range I'd go w/ 355. I just looked and see that your trans (tcet5008) has the tall first gear so 373 wouldn't be out of the question either.
