Hi,
I sell a billet aluminum SB Ford thermostatic temp valve now with a temp sensor port. The picture attached has the sensor on the bottom.

Mike,

Is this something that could be sandwiched between the remote mount and the filter, allowing oil to circulate from the engine, through the filter, and back to the engine when the oil is cold, but then route it through an oil cooler when it warms up - or does it need to be mounted to the block?

Hi Chris,
This mounts to the oil filter pad and then the filter screws to the sandwich adapter. The oil temp port is in line to the filter or cooler depending on oil temperature. This position put the oil flow just out of the oil pump so it measures oil sump temp prior to cooling or filtering.

Mike,
I needed that a week ago. I had to drop the oil pan and weld a bung into the pan for a temp sensor. I have the other temp valve. Oh well nothing like missing a really good innovation and spending more money.

i like that you have the oil temp tapped into it. I just purchased a earls setup a few weeks ago, but this looks like a nice piece, good luck!

Mike,

Will the sensor location read accurate oil temp even if the sandwich plate ports are plugged? Considering installing as a future provision for oil cooler but also to allow me to hook up oil temp gauge immediatly.

I allready have your oil filter adapter kit # FPCOFA1002 and am running a remote oil filter, Do you have a valve that can hold the remote oil filter and when oil gets hot switch the flow to the oil cooler ?

The sandwich adapter flows the oil past the sensor port to the filter and then returns to feed the engine.

As a seperate piece we do have a valve that goes inline. Its $105.00 and a week or so from me!
