Seems odd, but air in a roadster

My bride and I spent 10 days in our Mk I cruising around the mid west, recently, with temps sometimes reaching close to 100*. I know that some of you guys have built your roadsters with air. Does it actually cool a car with a leaky soft top enough to make it worth while...??? I'm thinking about a winter upgrade and what components I might need to add air to our roadster. Thanks for any response.

I'm just finishing the install of Richard's setup in my car now.

I bought my car from the original builder. He partially installed the system and I'm completing it. He installed the box that mounts to the firewall, but not the unit that goes behind the dash. It's a PITA to put in, but I can share some shortcuts if you go forward with the retrofit, so just get in touch with me if/when you do it.

I haven't got my car back on the road yet, but am trying to get it running by tomorrow. I'll pipe back in once I have some feedback to share.

From other searches I ran, guys with tops say it helps a lot. Guys without tops say it's almost useless while driving, but great in slow moving traffic or at lights.

I have AC installed, without top I direct it right at my feet, it takes the edge off the heat. With the torunou cover on pass side it helps alot, with hard top it heaven.
