I have 12v to the wire with the motor off but no voltage with the car running...

I did pull the distributor and spin the oil pump before attempting the start-up. I don't remember if I did plug the harness back in there, I'll check it out first thing, when I get into the garage today.

Another thing one of the motor heads suggested was to take a needle probe and check the voltage in the wirh right out of the FPR. I'll check that right after the distributor connection.

!!! Bingo !!!!

I had left the plug out of the distributor, I put it in, connected the plug to the Fuel Pump, put the positive cable on the battery terminal, turned on the key and got the buzz of the fuel pump kicking in for a second or so. Each time I turn off the key and turn it back on I get a repeat performance.

Thanks to all for the help and advice.

Later this afternoon, we are getting ready to go our for brunch right now, I'mgoing to give the motor another spin and see what happens.

I'll post any results.
