Female Olympic shooter built her own Cobra replica?
Impressive - Kim Rhode built a car that's way cooler than mine, she probably knows more about engine internals than I do, and it's a safe bet that she's a better shot than I am.

Kind of looks like an ERA. It has fiberglass inner fender panels. She also has a sway bar mounted high that goes in front of the radiator. Nice looking car actually.

It took her more than five years to put the Cobra together, by hand, It has an era-appropriate 427 side-oiler, stroked to 454 cubic inches, with two four-barrel carbs.

Not sure what car exactly and honestly, I think the important idea here is that she, a faily young car enthusiast and a female, has taken pains and shows knowledge that she can build a cool car! All that and she is on the USA team in shooting. That to me is very impressive and I bet she knows just how to drive the thing, probably as well as many of us. Just my take on it......but boy, that is a cool thing!

It's not an ERA, it's a "era" appropriate car, as Bob stated.
Classic Roadsters was the only company that made an elongated door with that notch at the top, to ease entry and exit.
It's a Classic Roadsters car.

She just won the gold medal by breaking the Olympic record and tied the world record. She is the first American to individually medal in 5 straight Olympics.

As stated before, it is a Classic Roadsters replica. If you go to the 37 second mark on the video in the 2nd link, you'll notice that it has weird roll bars besides the weird doors.
Still pretty cool that she built it herself. Not many females can say that.
