I was going through the Canada/US border in Blaine, WA and the border guard is asking a lot of questions about the car: you build it, what engine, you know the questions - then he says "okay, you're good to go, but, you have to do a burnout. Really? Yea." .... tweaked the throttle and rolled outa there. Those guys carry guns! :-)

Hmmm I don't seem to get to many of those, but then maybe I just can't hear them over the engine :-)

As Ray said though, the biggest dogs don't have to bark. I always thought there was nothing cooler then seeing someone in a bad ass car just cruising down the road with a grin on his face.

Well, I don’t get that with the FFR yet, not done. But I get it all the time with the wife’s Mach 1. I had forgotten all about the Gold Fish thing (my dad worked for American Motors back then) that will have to be my new thing to say. I normally just tell them it will cost them $100.00 to see it, that way I can afford to replace the tires, and any parts I break. No, my wife won’t drive it with the TRACLOCK off, so I know she isn’t doing that.

Funny commercial, thanks Doug.

Curious, what are the 2 cars that try to race the Javelin? (first one looks kinda like another Javelin(?) and I have no clue what the foreign car is supposed to be)

i say EXACTLY the same thing.

but sometimes say "i can't, it's a four cylinder."

if there is enough time (and quiet) at a stoplight i will occasionally explain that the burnouts are not so great, the car is too light, there is no smoke, and it hardly leaves lines.

maybe it's a local thing but they usually say "spin 'em" and do this round and round thing with their fingers.

i'm gonna use the goldfish thing.

First one is an AMX, not sure what the other one is.

The only burnout (other than at the dragstrip) is the one thats on the Factory Five DVD in front of their building. It was captured by a professional photographer back in like 2001/2002. Fun times!
