Need your help with these power steering rack ports
Hey all, I just started looking in to the fittings I need to plumb my fox power steering setup, and noticed that the top threads of the outlet port on my used rack are a little gacked.
Hard for me to tell since I don't have the outlet fitting yet, but will I be able to get a reasonable seal with that chunk taken out? Is the actual sealing surface the grimy ring surrounding the threads that I have neglected to clean? I can't tell.
The fittings on the racks are an O ring that fiis into the groove at the top of the threads. That groove needs to be SUPER clean, and it looks like you have a enough threads left to tighten the fitting down. I'd be looking for the broken threads to make sure they didn't fall into the rack. See the Breeze web site to see AN fittings and the O ring.

I think your threads are OK and I hope those are just two casting lines that look like cracks.
