I'll have more tommorrow.
I had to park it for the day.
I can say, its interesting getting in and out now.
Very solid feel, no blind spot at all, no buffetting from wind, ( I added to vents at rear silver stripe).

Looks awesome, did you do any side windows? I put my hardtop on for the first time this past winter and it was awesome but I didn't install any of the side windows.
IMO that hood scoop would be a nice addition if it had a closed vent on the inside.

I'd like to see how you mounted it and know if you put any foam or insulation on the part that stradles the windscreen..

Yes, soft foam rubber in the channel that the windscreen goes into.
Rubber bulb seal around bottom.(On the body I put a clear bra material to protect paint from scratches).
I have the side windows that came with it but I'm not really in love with them. I might make a roll up side curtain that velcos to inside at top and attaches to Lift-a-dot pins on door to form a seal, similar to clear boat enclosure material. Still working on this plan.

Did you put any thin layers on the side of the channel?
Good idea on the clear bra, after having my top on for a week when i took it off I had rubber on the paint that I still cannot get off even witha claybar.
I was mocking up the side windows and I had my wife hold them in place while I tried to get out.... yea, not fun. It's already funny to watch me get out with the top on but with the windows I was just getting angry lol. If you don't plan on driving in the rain then you're good. This winter when it was 50* out I would have the top on and the heater on and it got so hot I would have turn the heater off lol.

Don't need the vent, I got climate control AC , reallllll comfy on long drives now.

I've thought about a hardtop for years, but am worried that once it's on, it'll have to stay to hide scratches it may create and just because it's too much of a pain to take off and put on.

I have had my APE top for about 6 yrs so I'll add a few comments to this discussion for those of you thinking about one of these. Yes it's about the same difficulty getting in and out as an FFR coupe. Fortunately I am only 5'9" so that helps. I actually never take mine off. I take the windows off when it's warm. I have come up w/ a reasonably quick release for the rear window and the side windows came w/ quick release hinges. I was never able to get a perfect seal of top to windshield so there is a semi-permanent strip of wide plastic tape sealing it. I made up a set of small pulleys and rope and 1 inch fabric stap that I use to pull the top off the car. I use it only 3-4 times per year but it only takes about 10 minutes to remove and maybe 15 to install. I used these old Vette mounts for the sides w/ longer bolts. Looks like this w/o the top. (Old pic before paint)

Very nice, do you use any other mounts or just the two side ones? Have any pictures of the entire setup?

My front latches are the ones originally supplied w/ the top.

I think you could darn near skip them though. I have had one come loose and never noticed any problem while driving it that way.

I like that style of latch..I searched high and low and can't find that style of latch on Ekler's site.. I don't care for the APE latch and would like to use that one..I have the button head screw downs for the rear of the top but not the windshield post ones..Do you have a part #..I am now having second thoughts on putting in the side widows since your top looks so good..Thanks Dave
