Gas tank breather?

What kind of rubber grommet are you guyz using on your custom gas tank vent tubes? ARROW
I bought some 1 1/4 inch valve cover grommet, but it was a lil' small.
I think my Mustang tank has about a 1 7/16 - 1 3/8 inch hole.
I just wanna run a standard 5/16 fuel line up the fill tube with a small charcoal filter at the end. Would a PVC valve on the tank end be a good idea?
Any ideas or part #s?

And another curiosity: What is this tab on the back of my Mk 3.1 chassis? ARROW
Is that for the trunk prop rod?

Thanx!

You should use the proper grommet for the fuel tank so as to be fuel resistant. Check Breeze.
That bracket is used with 94 and later fuel tanks. Should explained in the MANUAL.

Since I didn't need that tab to mount my tank I just cut it off.

I think I have the grommet and the vent for the tank that I will not be using. I will check when I get back from radiation therapy this morning and let you know. If I do you can have it. PM me your address.

The stock vapor vent check valve has a check ball that prevents fuel from leaking due to overfilling, slosh, or rollover.

I used the stock vapor valve that came with my complete kit. It fit and works fine. I don't have any problems filling the tank due to the size of the valve. I imagine you can get it from Factory Five or maybe even NAPA.
