Beige leather interior

Noticed some of the cars have beige leather interior and seats, was that available at some point from Ffr? Don't think they are currently.

Or are those re-uphostered by the owners or sourced elsewhere?

Where?

I have seen Herbs door panels in beige so there must be some roasdters still going beige...

Show me what you've and where you got it.

Yes, I believe FFR offered beige - or at least tan seats at one point. Some have all tan, some tan seats, black carpet/interior, others black seats and tan everything else. Not a big deal depending on what level ($$) build you are doing. A lot of people upgrade the carpet. Many use aftermarket seats. Door panels are aftermarket. About all that is left is dash covering....a piece of vinyl or leather.

Personally, I think black, tan or any of the mixes I mentioned all look fantastic (a matter of choice, like body color). I have also seen interiors done in red and in white...they were well done, just not my cup of tea.

I have beige leather from FFR on MKIII 5818, and I think they stopped offering it 4-5 years ago. Regrettably, I'm still working on mine so no pics to share of the completed interior...:-)

FFR still offered tan leather seats when I purchased my MKIII in 2006. I used Herb's door panels, and aftermarket carpeting...

Looks great Terry. Did the console material come from FFR also? Haven't opened that box yet :-)

Thanks, Brian

Brian,

I used the FFR leather intended for the dash on the console instead since I went with a mahogany dash.

Terry - I don't usually like too much deviation from the standard black interior, dash etc. but that is just BEAUTIFUL! Wow. Nice job.

I'm using a TKO600 with Mike Forte's mid shift kit.

Great Dash

Terry G,

I like the combo of the mahogany dash and the tan interior. I have stock ffr black sets for my MKIV, but they can be recovered.

I have wanted to do a wooden dash and am wondering if you did a vaneer or a plywood core dash. I had a wooden dash on my Sunbeam Tiger years ago and loved the look.

Looks Great !

I went with Tan on my build. I needed extra leather for the console and door panels, so I called Factory Five and they gave me the info on the vendor that they used. I don't have the information, but I am sure they still have it.

I spoke with Factory Five today. They do not have the beige/tan rugs available anymore. For carpet it is a 20oz automotive carpet.

mcwho: I went with a competition dash from Finishline (thicker gauge than the FFR kit dash). I then covered it with a mahogany veneer from Constantine's. The carpeting is "Bentley". I forget how many oz. it was, but it was a little thicker and more pliable than the stock FFR carpeting. I was going for that european roadster look.
