Cool photo. A little over done for my tastes, but it looks interesting. It's more of a Hot Rod look. I'm sure this picture is gonna give a few guys on here a stiff one.
Or how about this picture...
Oh and you gotta have red...

Reason: spelling
Mine just got glassed in this week. Here is the web address. Maier Racing Enterprises - Suspension Fiberglass - Hayward, CA 94541 BUT the louvers are not on the website, you just have to call them and tell them they are for a Cobra Kit. He makes a special version for them. $180 shipped to the house.

According to Da Bat, I was the first one he did (car went to paint in 05).
I saw Jeff 3 days ago and he said "OMG they are still holding up?" as he was surprised they are still there with as little attachment surface they have (Maier Racing).
IMO, this one of the most functional things I did cosmetically. Air flow is excellent under the hood.

Here is a pic from when I was putting them in. They face backwatds and just act as an opening/vent, the scoop does not function as a "ram" because it it backwards.
I'll look for some finished pics

Those look great. You have a shot of the underside?
I'd like to see how they are attached.

I have a few shots of mine but they are just clecoed in but will be button headed screws in the end,so they will be removeable but could be rivoted and or molded if you wanted
The MKII's are a one piece hood, so I went with a high temp adhesive to secure the louvers. The preferred way to install the louvers would be before paint, I got lucky my body shop did the install on the finished painted hood with no major re-painting.
My shameless plug for VRaptor, Shane does a really nice job and made several mods to make these MK II ouvers come out great. I suspect once I get my car back on the road and others see his work, this will be a popular mod.

I went a slightly different route. I made individual louver bars that have a sort of "C" shaped end with a set screw, on the bottom side at each end, to hold them in place. I used 3/16" thick material, so I could use 1/16" set screws, and shaped them to conform to the curvature of the outside of the hood. There is a point just in front of the hood where a line projected from each will converge. I may add some sort of blank plate on the under side if I think that they show too much on the engine. Also, I can add another one or two bars to "fill in" if needed, and if it looks better than a bottom plate.
Regards, Rick.
Here is the best shot I have right now of the top side.

I am glad it helped you 2yrproject. There have been several guys over the years doing different types of louvers. When I saw those shots, I thought it would be good to see that; 1- a few of the real ones had louvers and 2- what the style was. Kind of like when someone asked if he should consider doing sidepipes on his 289 fia. My thought was that, if he could find just one 289 fia w/ sidepipes, he would be good to go.
