They've thought of everything:

Additional Information:
1. We are on central standard time
2. Call first to make sure your kit is ready to be picked up before you arrive.
3. If you will be renting a U-Haul trailer on a Saturday call to make sure the U-Haul place of business will be open before you arrive.

I venture to say even FFR can't claim to have this level of international business, and you even get a bit of a geo-political tutorial along the way:

NOTICE: We are here to help you however we primarily speak ENGLISH; however, we have several Hispanic employees that speak SPANISH. We have dealt with people from Switzerland, Germany, the Republic of Equatorial Guinea which is a country in Central Africa, Ireland, Singapore, Thailand, Dubai which is the largest city in United Arab Emirates, and the Kingdom of Jordan and we have found that the only way these transactions can be completed successfully is for you to have an English or Spanish speaking translator.

This is my new favorite video of theirs. The best part is from around 14:00 to 15:25.

I recommend pouring the gas directly on the engine when hot to circumvent the fuel system.

That would just cause a possible "light fire", right? Not like it would explode. Absolutely make sure you don't let KIDS pour gas on it though. Wait, did anyone find these instructions in the FF build manual???? Damn that manual left out so much stuff!!

I think a "LITE" fire would be the best thing to put the car out of its misery.

WOW! I am going to invest all my money in Great Stuff foam, urethane and carbon fiber vinyl. With the large demand for these kits, the manufactures won't be able to keep up with these products.

Thanks for posting.........I needed a good laugh!

You made me do it. I can't find the video with the racing belts, but this is the one about the back glass and how to back up. I really wish he had demonstrated. The joy begins at 3:10 and ends around 3:52.

I don't have time to watch anymore of these videos. I am too busy wrapping my entire Cobra in carbon fiber vinyl! Why couldn't I have seen this earlier. Think of all the money I could have saved on body work and paint!

Looks like they just cover everything in black carpet and black urethane.
btw, that engine compartment looks like crap and it's ok to put the fuel filler next to the engine, just toss a fire extinguisher in the trunk.

I was taught to mount the fire extinguisher as FAR AWAY from an ignition point as possible.

I can just hear the conversation at the burn unit bedside:
"Bubba? How'd your arms and face so blackened? "
"I just kept on reaching for the faer extinguisher."

If any of the carbon fiber wrap comes off just run down to the local WalMart and pick up some Alabama Chrome to stick it back down. Just make sure the crack of your ass is not exposed when you bend down to grab it or you might also find yourself on the WalMart shopper photo board with the rest of the 'MERICA special people.

It can not be true? I wonder how long masking tape lasts on top of the parking/ turn signals? He is pretty proud of the headlights from whatever frigging projector he is talking about!

I'm so glad this thread came back. I love listening to this guy talk and seeing how they put their cars together. All of the videos are train wrecks and I can't look away. It's mind-bottling though that someone could be talked into buying one of those taped together death traps!

My 11 year old noticed how much fun I was having watching these videos so we've watched several together. It's been fun explaining to him why you'd never do some of this stuff if you had any sense. The fuel fill in the engine compartment was easy. So was using wood and 1/4" steel plate for door hinges, gluing the body on with Great Stuff, using urethane for everything, carpeting every surface in the car and using wrecked cars. It was a litlte more challenging explaining why extension cord headlights and sawz-all/sledgehammer body work are a bad idea but even my 11 year gets it.

Thanks for renewing this post, I missed it the first time around. OMG When I started watching, I thought someone was making a parody. But as it went on I realized they were serious. Very scary. Loved the bit about using extension cords to wire the headlights. Let the buyer beware!!

Safety first! Always have a fire extinguisher ready when you dump fuel on a hot engine.

I need to write that one down.
