Looking for some recommendations for a body shop / painter in the RI or MA area.

Well it looks like 18 months after my original post that I am truely going to need a body shop recommendation in the RI/MA/CT area. I have heard mixed reviews about Metal Morphosous in CT but nothing about anyone else. Seems like there are more than a few owners/cars in this area. Someone has to have some advice.

I have had 3 cars done at Dartmouth collision with excellent results. I have one there now and another to follow right after. You will have no issues or complaints if you use them.

Call Russ at
Dartmouth Colliosion
566 State Road
North Dartmouth MA
508) 992-9330

Tell him I sent you.

Mixed reviews? Please explain. I've had nothing but great work done by Ron, and have never heard any negatives from anyone. He also gives you an honest time frame and sticks to it. I highly recommend him.

X2 Every job I've seen by him has been absolutely incredible. Never heard anyone say anything bad about them ever.

Ron is NOT a vendor on any of the 3 sites. This one, ffr's or clubcobra.

I used Leland Collision, Southbridge St, Auburn, MA 508-792-1290 in 2007. Dan's done a number of FFR's. He did a great job on my car and it still looks good today.

I have seen cars painted my Metal morphous and Dartmouth. Both are flawless. Pick the one closest to you or what works best for your schedule.

Thanks for the input guys. I am sure many paintes do good work with these cars and was not trying to start a bash session on any particular shop. I like to get an impartial opinion when it comes to investments like these. A lot of time the forum "funnels" people to a very short list of vendors. My experience tells me that eduating yourself about ALL options is never a bad idea.

the reality here is not just the quality of the paint....we have all built these cars a bit differently and most sit differently on their frames (thanks to our idiosyncratic construction approaches) and alignment aint all that perfect. "Body work" accounts for almost as much as the paint and Russ Aruda at Dartmouth Collision is an absolute master at moving holes and slots a quarter of an inch or more and making it all work. I cant say enough about this guy...I had an emmissions deadline in this state to meet last spring and he met it!!!!! With a beautiful Imperial Majestic Blue with Wimbledon Whte stripes paint job (origionality - nope!!...traditional old school - yup) AND he recommended an alignment station right down the road and they were as good at what they did!!! done in a hour!!!! Brifgewater State police for the title and Dartmouth / New Bedford RMV (OK>>>OK>>> that one sucked!!!) quick stop at the other thing i had to do (what ever that was!) and done in 2 days.....this was important as i had to bring it off island from Nantucket to get all this done.
Not a vendor on the forums??...when your this good, and this many folks recommend you....advertise?...nope....
