Stainless lines...

I made up and installed braided steel lines for:

Reservoirs to brake master cylinder and clutch master cylinder

Power steering lines

Fuel lines in the engine bay...I seem to have misplaced one AN-6 end so the feed line will have to wait until I get another.

I also installed the throttle linkage - need to replace the threaded rod with something more elegant, but for now it works!

I'm a bit late to the thread so here's the summary over the last 2 weeks:

Removed carburator, intake manifold, alternator, pulleys, water pump, harmonic balancer and timing chain cover.
Ordered Whitby's power steering kit, Gordon Levy's Stage II power upgrade kit.

This weekend, I'm hoping to remove headers, radiator, possibly cylinder heads, camshaft and drain oil.

I saved 800$

Hello guys

I was'nt sure I could mod my mustang gage cluster to fit nicely in the FFR dash. So I went shopping. Needless to say after going to 3 different speed shops and seeing the price these new gages racked up (between 800 to 1800$). I went back home and got busy moding the OEM cluster, and with sucess I might add....

So more $ for future improvements...

Mark IV Kit arrived on Sept 17 Th 2010
Engine started on December 23 Rd 2010
First GOKART ride December 27 th 2010.
Body work started on March 5 th 2011.
Interior and GoKart completed july 17th 2011
Paint completed november 30 th 2011
Police inspection march 7 th 2012
Mechanical inspection april 2nd. 2012
Tags and on the road may 9th 2012

Measured and made cut lines on the passenger's side rear flare. Very hard to make them match!

FFR5148K MkII Roadster, MCRP 331 CI 415 HP w/ carb, 3-link, disc brakes, SN95 Front brakes, FR500 Wheels. Still mostly Gel-Coat Grey! Now with roll cage and more track stuff, wrecked, beaten, blown-up, man-handled, cut up, butchered, Freaky body mods, sat on by HOOTERS girls, still barely street legal.

Winter 2016 Updates: Electric steering IN!!!! Thinking about EFI

I mounted mirrors, wind wings, lower rad aluminum, quick jacks and secondary body fasteners. I spent today researching how to register this beast.

Finished up the rolled edges for the rear fenderwells.
Body shop was out of Rage Gold so I tried the Rage Extreme.
It's almost white, goes on smooth and seems to have fewer pinholes when dry.

Retrofitted my Bilsteins for Koni's. Wow, what a difference. The ride used to kinda feel like mush. Now it feels nimble without having a harsh ride. Wow. I also don't have to worry about the Bilstein gremlins attacking me.

...we will paint (red with white stripes), and install: new carpet, new wiring harness, new gauges, new steering wheel, and new seats! Hope to also spruce up the frame while the body is off. Just a few things I guess :-)

Way to go Mike!!!!!! Can’t wait to see it.

I finished doing the touch ups on my lower front nose. I did the best I could. Tonight, I will cover it with blue painter’s tape to get ready for autocross next weekend.

After that, off with my intake!

Received a second used ABS controller from Ebay that I will bench test and compare to the one on the car now to determine if it's working right. Ask an Ebay seller for a second time if his complete wiring diagram CD for the 1994-1998 Mustang contains ABS wiring schematics.

It's below freezing in the garage so no work planned in there for a while.

Bought Gordon Levy's really big brakes. Built a storage box (thanks to Bob McLaughlin), installed it and now making the frame and door from 1/4" thick aluminum plate. Installed lights under the dash panel and in the trunk.

Detailing for Barrett-Jackson

Detailing the bottom and everywhere (even used toothbrush & Q-tips!) because next week I take it down the road to Barrett-Jackson.
Watch for Lot #1537 Sunday afternoon (1/23) on SpeedTV.
My fingers are crossed for a decent price! Hopefully enough to start another build.
