Yes, that's me in the avatar with Dave Smith in front of my roadster at the '06 F5R Open House!
Your car is very deserving of POM honors! Very, very nice. Excellent photo, as well.

Hey, That's Dan Zoil's car, Plum Loco. It is now undergoing a rebuild right now after a freak meeting with a K-rail. Many new body mods to come. So Plum Loco Gen 2 is going to be bigger and better than the previous version. Congradulations to Dan for a well executed beuatiful car and Thanks to Bill for picking it as July 2010 picture of the month. Frank

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.
Me Too, but I think the new Loco, will be even better!
Hank

What an honor. I went down to the shop after I heard and told the old girl how much she is loved. The rebuild is coming along a bit slow (that money thing) but getting close. The chasis and suspension is done. I am making two big changes, full width roll bar and under car exhaust. Of course that means even more body mods, but I am good with that.
The POM picture is one of my favorites, here are a few others.
Dan, have always loved Plum Loco. It is an awesome car you've built. I'm sure when Gen 2 is complete it'll be even more awesome. Nice cabin BTW!

I always liked Plum Loco as well, and look forward to her revival..
Like that grille so much, I have already purchased the stainless materials needed to construct a copy of Dans. Imitation is the highest form of flattery!

It's just a pile of parts until you have the first start. Then it is a car!!
Loved this month's POM -- I remember the 1st and possible the only real Cobra I ever saw in person - 1967 Langley AFB (Va) and I was walking through a parking lot and came upon a dark blue beauty - I'm pretty sure it was a 289 as it didn't have any of the 427 goodies! But it's still the most beautiful car I've ever seen! Love the color, BTW, and the lack of the big white racing stripes. When I build or buy mine it will look exactly like this one!
First Replica I ever sat in (Knotts ), I marveled over the Modifications made without the body, on it. A few years later, It was the first one I rode in as well... Thanks Dan, I am sure your car inspired a lot of us....I am sure it will be better than before .....Congrats on the POM... JJ
