SLOPOKE

1) Oklahoma State graduate, we are the "Cowboys", nickname is "Pokes" - so SLOPOKE reflects school allegiance. It will be painted orange with white stripes - school colors.

2) It's taken me a long time to build - kit was delivered Sep'08 ... SLO is sort of appropriate in that sense.

3) SLO is also quite ironic, as it will be anything but

It's got a lot of names. MotherF**** when I'm wrenching on it and things aren't cooperating...
In public, it's SNKVNNM as it says on my license plate.
In private, it's Bernadette
And at work, it's easier if I say 'I drove in the beast from the east' (well, MA is East of CA).

"Clock pusher". Named by my son when he thought the center mounted speedometer was a clock.

BBBBAD - that's the license plate. After George Thorogood "Bad to the Bone". There's another subtle meaning to the license plate that people who know me will recognize!!

Although still building, lately, I've been using the name "Pete" because I rePEAT every step on this build two or three times.

My fiancee likes to name all of her cars, and by extension, mine too. Her Mini is Pepe LePew (its white and black), my X5 is the Albino Rhino and so far the roadster has been "Joan" - named after Carroll Shelby's girlfriend/secretary at the time he founded Shelby American.
