I would agree with the list, except for #3. The Hummer H1 is not particularly manley. It's really a poser. It should a a Humvee, the real original one. With the good suspension and diesel engine.

The H2 and H3 are rebodied GMs, the H1 was the civilian version of the HMVEE. I am 90% sure it came with the same diesel engine as the military version.

Ah, yep... I remember now. Did the H1 still have inboard brakes or whatever they are called?

None of the trucks should be on this list....they're trucks for goodnes sake not cars. Not sure who put this list together but I would disagree with about 50% of them...where's a Camaro, challanger, charger, cuda...super bee....mustang can you think of some more?

"I didn't build it - I'm rebuilding it.." Mark III FFR4331 - Ford Crate 4.6 DOHC, Accel Gen 7 Engine Harness, Quality Roadsters A/C System, Power Cobra R Brakes with Hydroboost, Power Steering, 275X17/315X17, BMW Titanium Silver with HOK Brandywine Stripes, Intake, and Valve Covers.
-The '62 Ferrari 250 GTO is the most gorgeous car ever produced and is "gorgeous" manly? I'd think that the 250 GT SWB better fits the bill.
-Jeeez, how can anything with an automatic trans make the list (Veyron)? PS? PB? Automatic choke? I'm thinking Stutz Bearcat, Mercer Raceabout! Starter crank! Manual ignition advance! Mechanical brakes!
My wife never called her Viper “manly”. She calls it “torquey”. She is aware that the plans for my coupe call for beating her Viper. I need to be careful though. She mentions forced induction every once in a while.
I’m lucky that she was about two hours too late to get one of the $9990 discounted roadster kits at the end of the year. It just wouldn’t be fair to become forced labor on a car intended to kick my butt.
Sorry, not all men stay on the pavement... The FJ40 is arguably the best stock off road vehicle ever even when compared to modern vehicles and it was around in the '60's and '70's in the USA. Add a lift kit if needed because of the terrain and you have a vehicle that will go anywhere and last forever. Look in third-world countries and it is still one of the most desired work vehicles for the bush due to its capability and reliability. I had a '72 where essentially all that was left was the windshield, drivetrain, and frame due to Ohio salt and the number of miles and the thing ran like a champ.

I'll go along with that! I owned a 77 1 ton Landcruiser pick up, and it was very manly. I drove that truck in unbelievable road(?) conditions, and it could take it like a champ. I wish I still had it!

My old boss's son had an H1 for a little while. It had an anemic 350 that would barely moved it and needed constant attention. Most issues were electrical as it an assortment of GM, Ford, and Dodge components. I was from from impressed with it.

Spending to date 23 years and counting of driving the HMMWV I have never considered it manley, just an underpowered pig that was way too wide and heavy, not to mention uncomfortable. We used to take the coushins off old kitchen chairs just to have some padding between you and the steel. God forbid you are the poor guy in the touret, you got a 3" nylon strap to sit on for 10 hours. They would regularly try to gas you to death from fumes out of the battery compartment under the passenger seat. Thats a good place for two 24V batteries. They started out with the 6.2L GM diesel then went to the "improved" 6.5. I honestly have never seen the military version with the Duramax. I do see that the civilian version got the Duramax in 2006.
