Hey guys, just doing a little bit of planning / dreaming. I've seen cobra's in guardsman blue, viper blue, toyota blue, & even chevy blue. In you guys opinion... what color of blue is the best. I'm looking for a drop down color of "cobra" blue, that will make everyone stop & stare?
What the best color of blue, you've seen?
I tend to lead towards the darker shades of blue, and originally wanted the Midnight Metalic blue that comes on the Ford GT. i think that would look great! but it was difficult to get so this is what i went with...VERY happy with it.
this is my car, Lexus Indigo Ink Pearl, with Artic White stripes...sprayed by Jeff Miller.

Mitsubushi 2008 Blue Pearl (has a hint of red pearl with the silver) Darker blue
2008-9 Dodge Electric Blue Pearlcoat (larger silver flake) Darker blue
2008-9 Subaru WR Blue Pearl (silver flake almost invisible) Lighter Blue
I like the shade of blue that is sometimes referred to as "Red".
Other than that, I am really partial to the darker blues. What paint system is going to be used? For something that is out of the ordinary check out PPG's Vibrance Collection as well as HOK. A bit more pricey, but definitely a head turner. Heading over to the paint shop and checking out the paint chips on a bright sunny day is definitely a good idea.

"It's loud, smells like gasoline, and shakes, shudders, and bucks. It makes your arms tired and your feet hot. You nearly crash about once every ten minutes. It's so damn wonderful you can’t believe it." -Automobile Mag. Oct. '04

I want a dark blue that does not look black at night or low light situations and have decided on a Toyota Spectra Blue Mica, Toyota code 8M6,- looks fantastic in the bright sun but not jet black at night.
Just my $.02 worth of opinion.
Here's a so,so pic of mine - Lexus Spectra Blue, Honda White Stripes and grey mini pinners. If you need another pic taken, let me know and I'll be glad to. The pic of me is when I got interviewed for some tv car show during the Slelby Show in Santa Monica earlier this year...
Hope it helps.
