I just spent 4 hrs at the Rocklin DMV retaking 7 tests to get my license reinstated because a "Stete employee" can't decipher the difference between commercial and non-commercial. She (Roseville DMV employee) insisted I had to fill out the commercial application for renewal although I've never held a commercial license; this somehow made perfect sense to her. So, when my license came up as expired and I went down to the DMV to resolve the issue it was of course my fault even though I did everything to persuade her otherwise. The poor Rocklin manager appologized and fudged the test score for my M/C (missed it by 1) since I nailed the other 6 writtens. He then spent another 2 hours rebuilding my DMV entire file because she went through and deleted anything that stood in the way of my license being non-commercial. Oh by the way, that doubles/triples test is HARD!!!!
So, I attempted to renew my cobra reg at the same time (Roseville) and she tried to charge me $1600 for the year and wanted ALL my paperwork and receipts. I told her no thanks I won't be renewing.
The manger at Rocklin appologized for that as well and I paid the $112.
Oh, the point? Do you really think the DMV will even NOTICE the street is misspelled let alone care?
I wouldn't worry about it. On the other hand, why is it so hard for FFR to change the address and reprint the invoice? Damn they're getting stingy over there.
