What year is your PCM? 97-98's are really problematic. I would recommend any 99+ be converted to the most current 2002 OS. The ones Ive done have all been good (knock on wood)
From what I understand, there are few issues with columm lock, and some of the vats stuff, that get sorted out in the later year OSes.
