Where do the Beta guys live?

Well the title says it all. Where is everyone and when is your target date to get your kit. I am in North East Florida in the Jacksonville area and looking at a possible delivery date by May. I know there are several of us on the east coast off of I-95. I am just throwing out the idea of doing a combined shipping for all of us off of 95. One thought is flying up there, getting a moving truck and running the kits south or driving up there with my excursion and 20' trailer and getting them. If everyones timing works out we might be able to save a few bucks.

I'm a hundred miles east of Dallas, but my kit is going to Wayne Presley's shop in Alabama where my donor has been sitting for the last eight or so months.

Kim tells me I'm #4 on the list, with a March ship date. I can't speak for Mark, but from what I see on the Facebook updates, I assume the ship dates continue to be at least a month or two optimistic. Betas #1 and #2 are supposed to leave the factory this month...

Cheers, John

Steve, I'm in Jupiter, FL, just off I-95, about 20 miles south of Stuart. Getting anxious to clean off all the old oak leaves and bird poop that have recently covered my donor Jetta, and break out the sawzall! Your plan may be a good one, if a bunch of Florida guys' kits are ready at approximately the same time. I'm thinking the Beta program won't go that way, tho. Let's see what Mark comes up with.

I talked to Mark about my idea a couple of weeks ago and he said that he will support it. I know there are at least four of us in Florida and a few more that are on the way down from MA. Realistically, a mid April to early May delivery of 4 or 5 kits is the earliest that Mark can support. If are all OK with delivery during this time then we should start hammering the plan.

I'm in Raleigh, and had planned on renting a U-Haul trailer to pick up my kit in Wareham.

If the group ship is a go, I can meet the shipper in Benson (I-95) for transfer to my rented trailer. Mark made the kit to fit in the back of a pick-up, so the trailer should work.

I'll call Kim to verify my shipping date.

Thanks for coming up with the concept.

I don't know my exact beta number but it is in the upper 20's. I'm in S. California and there is at least one other member, 'Heychris', here too. Any other California guys getting betas? Maybe we can do a group shipment.

My beta number is in the 20's as well. It might make good sense for a soCal group shipment.

Hi, I think I'm one of the last beta-guys. I live in Seattle but am trying to put together a trip to pick up the kit in MA in July. Anybody on the West coast willing to split the cost of getting your kit to Seattle? let me know: daveyboy@seanet.com
