Okay, I'm sorry, I can't take it anymore, and I don't want to clutter up the "Time to talk" thread. So here, I invite my fellow true G3F enthusiasts to post all of the asinine things that come up on the Smyth Performance Facebook page. Many will be deleted there in time, but here, the idiocy can live forever.
Have some fun with it.
Cheers, John

Could this frame be adapted to another car like an older type 1 bug so that you could use this powertrian in it. I am wanting to put a 1.8t in my old 74 bug and I have been working on coming up with something to mount the powertrian in the rear removing the rear setting area.
Not entirely stupid, as I say, but very, very, very far into left field... The only thing worth doing to a '74 Bug is using the pan in a replica 356 or 550! Meanwhile, I think there was a guy out there that wanted to know if this will work with his Maxima.
Cheers, John

No, sorry, it will be mid-engine, front-drive. Move along...

I've got a 1973 Porsche 914, I was looking to inpregnate with the heart and soul of my AIII TDI. Sounds very similar to the layout you have! KUDOS!!! Ler me know if you ever want to tackle the "Right kind of HYBRID!" (VW-Porsche) ;o)
I guess no one told him that the 914 is already a Volkswagen. Even a Porschephile can make that joke...
Cheers, John

Not to change the subject and not being a facebook guy, does Mark answer all these questions? If he does, he is a better man than me. He should have a must read section, then and only then can you ask a question. I know cut the new kids a break.
Carry on.

Some posts he answers, some he ignores, some he deletes. You don't have to join facebook to read what Mark is posting there, you only have to join if you want to add comments.

I find Mark usually deletes erroneous comments if I correct someone. If I correct someone in a less than friendly manner, he deletes the comment AND my correction. Definitely editing going on, but that's a good thing.
Is this car going to be a "one of" or is there any possibility or of this vehicle being manufactured for customers? I would sure LOVE to buy one of these if I had the opportunity!
Heehee...thanks, Bill. I was going to post that myself, but I recently got my hand slapped for starting this thread, as it isn't very nice to the [moderator edit: brilliant people] that make these Facebook posts. I suppose that is true, but still...where does this come from? It's why I refuse to have anything to do with Facebook. I go there only to see Mark's update photos.
Cheers, John
