Hood Liner Options

Any ideas on what people have done with the hood liners? Is it needed?

None needed. Most people paint the underside of the hood just like the car. I've never heard of anyone ever having a problem with heat damage on the underside of their hood.

DarkWater Customs used to sell an aluminum hood liner - pics looked incredible, but I think they had issues shipping it(it got damaged a lot) and so they stopped making them. Some have used bedliner. I think I saw an ad that Koolmat (forum vendor) sells a material for use as hoodliner. Otherwise, most paint - some run stripes on the underside (looks fantastic). Metalmorphus, a painter (in CT I think - or somewhere up there ) does a fantastic job doing a fake aluminum/metal paintjob for the underside of the hood.

Most of our FF cobra guys don't treat the hood.
Really, it is hard to get any kind of performance results, heat or noise, with a hood liner in a roadster.
We have a couple to offer but don't sell much
