Re: parts for 33 HR

Hi All...was wondering if there is a supplier (similar to ffmetal.com) but that supplies parts like battery cases, foot-well expanders, fender extenders, etc. etc. for our Hot Rods instead of the Roadsters?

Hey Dan,

There is a variety of suppliers for the hot rod but not much in way of sheetmetal because the cabin it pretty spacious. I know that Dan Ruth does door sill plates, grill fixing, chin protectors (Welcome to Innovative Rodding Specialists), Mike Everson does a radiator shroud and some interior stuff, Tim Whittaker does some trunk stuff including the roll pan, and I do a trailer hitch and hood catch, etc. It's kinda spread out. You'll have the best luck just posting what you want and letting the suppliers come to you or create the part for you!.

Speciality Parts for the '33

Hi - a great source for speciality parts is Tim Whittaker's Kootenai Valley Customs. As a former speciality aircraft fabricator he really does outstanding work on his products . I've received many of his products includng the hood receiver pins and the billet receiver covers that replace the cheap pastic from FFr . He also fabricated the three point seat belt adaptors to attach to my roll bars. I've also bought the under fuel tank closure and his trunk lid strengtheners . He also cut me the special aluminum grill side head light mounts so I can remove the engine side panels and leave the lights in place .
I am not sure if I have referred to all the parts he has provided me thus far .
Tim has also be very helpful in answering my questions on issue I confronted while building my '33 .
His website lists his products .

Sounds like we need a vendors page somewhere. This page should list all the above mentioned as well as others that we have seen posted such as Forte and Boyd. Any takers?

Re: Vendors Page?

A vendors page would be great and maybe even a special section for Forum members (who are builders themselves) who have parts they came up with as part of their 'build' which thay offer to other members/builders. I think it would help everyone to support our own Builder/Vendors as who better to come up with products we could all possibly use?!

First of all let me put in a good word for Tim Whittaker. He is great to deal with and has some great solutions to the challenges of assembling the 33. Also, we have a vendor list in the Advertisers section of this Forum. There are also vendors on the other Factory Five Forum. Not all of them make products for the 33 but some do and some of the Roadster products cross over to the 33.
