Bad Temperature Guage

Been fighting what I thought was overheating. Tried a mechanical gauge in two different ports on the intake and appears everyhting is okay.

The Auto-Meter electrical gauge that came with the car is apparently reading too high. Has anyone else had this problem?

Not that I've heard of. Could it be a bad ground fron the engine to chassis? You do have a seperate ground from the block to the chasis, correct?

Yes, block is grounded to frame. Found a couple posts on the Auto Meter site saying to ground the gauge to its own ground.

That might be a good palce to start, you might have some thing meesing up your ground at the gauges, so run a deicated ground to chassis and see if that helps.
