Unmolested hood

I'm doing some louvers on a hood and purchased an "uncut" hood from FFR. Note the extra material. I had the same thing done with my second set of bike fenders. I think FFR's robot needs some finer programming. The hood on my car was cut far into the "belt line" as received as well as the contour line fro the grill shell.

Hmmm, I haven't looked at mine too close. I plan to use it as an info board for the car.

If it fits as poorly as mine did before I fixed it, you might be better served to use it for that. I have at least 10hrs. in mine and the final fit isn't 100% yet.

I wonder if others have experienced the same or if you got a rare bad hood?

Tim

Are you putting louvers on your 33 Hotrod hood? How do you do that on a fiberglass hood? I would love to have some louvers on my hood.

Chuck

Hi Chuck,

Yes I am. I'm using 16 ga. steel louvers, in a strip, bonded to the fiberglass. I can also lay up glass louvers in strips using the steel ones as a mold but they take some work.

+1 hood out of wack. I centered my grill to the body. When I line up the rear of the hood to the body, the front of the hood is off center line by more than 1". When I center the front of the hood, the left rear gap (body to hood) 1/4" and the right side is 1". I haven't decided what to do yet.

Spin,

Is your "chin" panel on as well ? They all seem to kinda have to be fit in concert. HTH.
