We hope to keep you all updated on whats happening with the build and in the future post some video of the car in action. Wow, some serious hardware going into this ride ! :D
Watching with interest.... Pig |
WOW... So many good details in this...
AWESOME!!! |
Thanks for posting! Some of use have been skulking around your website getting a glimpse of the build. Gonna be a real track killer for sure.
|
I love it! I am especially glad to see people going well beyond the 550HP I put in mine. That way, when people say I'm crazy, I can say "Oh no, I'll show you CRAZY!" :mf_w00t1:
|
Love the Tilton pedal assembly...that might cure my accelerator/brake pedal problem...hmmm....
|
I think I speak for everyone here when I say that's just not fair. That will smoke anything at the Good guys event. The roll cage is amazing! The tranny, the motor, the rear end! Holy cow! Will it be done in time for the Del Mar event in November? I hope not! :shifty:
|
What ready-to-race weight are y'all shooting for?
Thanks much, Lynn B. |
sweet looking build. love the control arms and the custom panels. (427 don't look bad either!) what kind of carbon fiber spring are you developing? sounded interesting, keep us informed!
|
That's a 385 series motor I think (429/460), not an FE.
|
Very cool. I love the front control arms.

I now understand why you could mount the power steering "inside", all the brake cylinders etc are at floor level!!
That must have saved a bunch of space behind the dash!! |

Pretty much sums it up. |
What has impressed me is how well things are thought out. I especially like the peddle box on the floor so the entire p/s can be under the dash. Great build Ridetech!
|
impressive
Lots of great ideas and implementation. You guys are setting the bar pretty high, and I like it.
|
The more I look at this car the more I see! Awesome :icon18:

There are now wires coming out of every opening on the car ... :)

Hey! I found something they didn't modify!!!............Oops, never mind :)
Fantastic build, I keep finding new and cooler things everytime I look at the pictures. |

I like the steering column location. :icon18: |
It is refreshing to see such a low budget "by the book" build that anyone with $50. worth of Craftsman tools could duplicate. :)

Does the roll cage prevent removing the body now? Is it permanently welded in place?
|

I would think so with it passing through the dash. I'm gonna put the pvc back together one more time on mine. Now that I have the seat locations figured out I will be able to see if the bars are intrusive. I like having a handy place for the fire extinguisher and the roll over protection would make the car safer. Of course I mean when the bars are STEEL not pvc. :icon18: |
Still on track for May 5th?
Are you guys still on track for the May 5th race? I might need to drive down and see this thing in person! :001_smile:

roll cage connection
I believe the roll cage is SS, so I am sure it is a bolted connection, but I also was curious as to how they made their connections.
|
The 33 ran for the first time tonite. Sounds great...I'll get a video posted Monday.
The stainless cage is welded in...body is permanently mounted. The car WILL be in Salem next weekend for the Battle at the Banks autocross. I hope it's fast. We'll be in Nashville on May 18 for the Goodguys event as well. |
Will it actually be road legal???
And how are you adjusting alignment of the front wheels? The arms look all fixed? tnx Robert |
