ideas for headlight mounting

here is an idea that stangkiller started and we refined to be able to easily remove the engine side panel once the headlights are installed. he had two aluminum plates 1/2 inch thick cut to a u shape then mounted them with the headlight mount holes centered with the support bar to radiator then we cut the engine panel to fit around the u. split the panel as in the photos and glued 2 pieces of aluminum angle on to each half then bolted the two pieces back together this way you can just unbolt the upper panel and slide back and away from the headlight making it possible to remove the sidepanel easily for work needing to be done
