I am just one guy trying to deliver a good product but something as simple as the hard top requires a half dozen vendors and believe me most of them just don't make the Grade!
That being said my mold maker/ fiberglass shop has jumped through hoops to get the product Purrrfect in many ways! but of course that took many tries!
The glass manufacture was fantastic with turn around and quality "he is a Hot Rod Guy",the upholsterer was slow but very good, the weatherstrip people were a complete disaster and unfortunately one of only three choices in the states, the crate guy was a dismal failure and I ended up doing them myself and we will see how the freight company does! The end result was six months behind schedule but when delivered all you need to do is scuff and paint.

Top This

Dan, wanted to let you know that I received my hardtop today, WOW!!!, I am blown away at the quality, not only of the top, but the crating and packaging also. Exactly what I have come to expect from you. I cannot wait to see it on my car, in fact, if I was into grey, it would not even need to be painted. It is that good!! I have received numerous products from you with everyone being top notch. Keep up the great work from "The Valley of the Sun", we FFR '33 owners appreciate your products and technical support.

Smile Dr. Ruth's Top

I received my top today and it really is well designed and fabricated . It arrived in great condition although the crate did sustain some damage but everything was in fine condition . The gel coat finish is really ready for painting -just need to scuff the surface . I am excited to see how it looks on my '33 so I'll go for a tempoary placement .
Great job - Dan .

The wing vent kit is $99.00 and is exclusive to this car, it is made of Lexan with stainless steel hardware. We can remove the weatherstrip flange from the top for applications with no windows for an additional $300.00. The removal of the lip will really clean up the LOOK and worth the $ for the guy planning no side windows. The shipping stateside is by truck and should be about $250.00.

Guys: Thanks for the Kind words! my biggest problem is there is not enough time in a day! I am always behind schedule even though I work 10-12 hour days! The Top plug took me many hours to complete and then working with a half dozen subs to get it all together took months! My Hat is off to Factory Five!
Here are a couple pics of the Wings on HRL

Dan,
I am considering purchasing one of your tops but I would like to know if it is weather tight against rain/snow with the wing windows and door windows installed.

thanks,
Nevin

Nevin:Are you Nuts! I know I live in Arizona where Snow is not usually an issue but I know that my brother whom lives in Michigan has a Sh--box car to drive in the winter while his Hot Rod is warm and cozy in the garage. Getting stuck in an occasional rainstorm while out for a day in your Hot Rod is just something we deal with when it happens, we are most often worried about the hours it takes to remove all the water spots from our chrome and paint. That being said! the concept of the Top is one of security and ease of removal and being able to use your Ac and Heater effectively during those extremes.Do to the nature of the FF33 doors and windshield making the car "watertite" is not in the cards but we have done our best to eliminate wind noise.

I am going on the Street Rodder Sherm's Custom Plating Tour next week to SEMA in HRL and I will do my best to report in about the Road worthiness of the Top.
