Pedal height adjustment

Note that the pedal height can be adjusted at the Master Cylinder end. If one screws both the front and rear master piston rods in or out the same amount it changes the height of the pedal at the relaxed position. (no change in brake function)

If you have a hydraulic clutch, you can adjust it the same way to get uniform height. I'm not sure of the gas pedal height.

Best regards,

Best regards,
Thanks Tom. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough adjust-ability for the brake pedal height to clear the steering shaft, so we had to cut off the top of the pedal. Then we did the accelerator to match. I have an auto trans, so the clutch pedal will be a dead pedal. Once we're sure everything is working, we'll cut the clutch down to match the other two.

We're making a big push on the 33 this weekend. 5 straight days working on it. We finished the AC plumbing today and we started on the brake lines.

Very tidy looking install on the AC lines. Any way you could post a shot under the dash to see how it lands on the unit?

Thanks Adam
I'm still looking for the sweet spot to bring the front downbars of my cage through the dash. I really want them tucked behind the windshield post but that is a very tough spot to land under the dash. It's outside the frame, way behind the firewall and RIGHT where the AC hoses make that loop back towards the middle.
I wonder if there is room to push the whole heater box towards the center of the car a couple inches??

I didn't buy the A/C from FFR, but it's a Vintage Air Gen II mini and the heat and A/C connections are at the bottom - maybe that would work better fro you?

That looks like a good alternative.

Adam
Sorry for the thread jack, you have so many innovations that are relevant to my build that it always sends me off in another direction. I hope to post some pics eventually on my mods to the 4 link changes I'm making for
better ride height.

No problem Dale, that's what we're all here for.

We finished up the brake plumbing yesterday!

Mounting the body and seats today.

Very tidy line job,
I'm leaning towards floor pedals but I need to drive one first to see if
I like the feel.

Another benefit of the floor mounted pedals, it's easy to bleed the system
because the MC's are mounted enough higher to work properly.

We got the body mounted today and the drivers seat with adjustable tracks figured out and mounted. Tomorrow we're hoping to get the passenger seat and both doors on.

Why yes it is. Clean interior was my goal. No center shifter, no visible AC vents, and no visible switches. I have 2 out of those 3 already handled...

Day 5 of the July 4th push was a bitter fight until the very end. We ended up with the passenger door mounted...and mounted well, but it took all day.

Hahaha, so true. My wife donated it to the cause, so I guess I can't be too picky. Plus, I do love my HEMI, so I guess the hearts are appropriate.

After 2 days of body work, we have achieved roadster-dom! Both doors are on, level, and latching. Got the trunk fitted up yesterday too with 2 pleasant surprises - the curve on mine is right on and there is an aluminum plate bonded in for the rivnuts to grab.

We spent the last 3 weeks finishing up loose ends and finally started to tear everything down for chassis powder coat and to start some finish work. We tore the car down in 3 days. Here is how she sits right now. Off to powder coat tomorrow...

Just a quick update. Everything is almost done at powder coating. Here are the small parts. The chassis should be done this week too. 2-stage misty purple powder on all.

Pretty busy day working on the 33 today. Had some successful testing for engine turning the firewall, re-tapped all of the holes in the chassis, got all the aluminum chassis panels primed and undercoated with special blend of bed liner with ceramic microspheres (kind of like a polyurethane version of lizard skin), fuel tank/lines and brake lines were reinstalled, and we got the exhaust re-installed. All while it was 100 degrees out.

Thanks! Honestly though, they're the only wheels we had around that would clear the brakes. I'm leaning towards 17 inch fronts and 18 inch rears.
