It's finally here! Factory Five '33 Hot Rod

Completely Modern Classic - $19,990

Today Factory Five released the long anticipated "Larry". What a show stopper! With any ground breaking design there will always be people who criticize things for not being traditional, but what we have here folks is good 'ol American ingenuity.

There is nothing to complain about; from it's wider stance, race car inspired front inboard shocks, optional hard top and fenders, everything just looks perfect. I'm sure many people will be customizing Larry with their own ideas, but I think we'll stick to building it as is.

Check back on the forum because we reserved our Larry today. We'll post pictures along the way and get ideas from forum members. As an FFCars.com forum member, you can help us build one of the first FFR Hot Rod's.

To discuss the new Larry hot rod, please visit the Factory Five '33 Hot Rod forum: http://www.ffcars.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=120

To see more info released by Factory Five, please visit the official Larry site: http://www.factoryfive.com/hotrodhome.html

Cheers!

Thumbs up Love those lines

Nice. That would look great with some stylish flames. I wanted to paint my roadster with flames but my wife thought that would be 'tacky'.

33 kit

I am so impressed with the FFR 33. A little customising and that thing could really fly. A pretty sophisticated front suspension, light weight, low center of gravity.

I did notice that there is no bracing on the roll bar hoops though. Looks like they are more for show than practical.

So what about the roof? It doesn't mention it at all in the website discription.

And in the order form it isn't available....yet. for $1700.00.Is the top going to use the same windshield or will you also need to buy a different one? So the kit will be well over $20K to start with the top.

I think I read that the top comes w/ DOT front and rear glass AND electric roll up side windows.

in fact - a quote from the FAQ section on the FFR wevsite

"Does the Hot Rod come with a top?
The hardtop will be an optional item on the car. This option includes electric roll up windows and front and rear DOT glass."

To me that is rather misleading. If you show a picture of a car with a top and then do not list that you need one in the "what you need" section....

Maybe it's just me but it isn't really complete without the roof if it is shown that way.

I placed my "33" order a couple of days ago and I'm looking forward to the build. Since I'm located in Northern CA I'm sure SRP is also going to hear from me as I agree this car has the potential to be a real beauty. To all of you who decide to join on the fun, best of luck with your creations.
