Rear Suspension Set-up

For IRS Info, click here.

How to set rear ride height:

[RT] "first jack up the whole rear end and drop the frame on stands so the axle hags free. If you can get a box end wrench on the spring you can use it as a lever and screw the spring down, spray some silicon on the lower rubber pad so the spring will turn freely. You might have to use a 2x4 to help drop the axle more or even a bottle jack.(between frame and axle)
Another way to do it is by dropping the front of the lower control arm with it resting on a floor or bottle jack so you can jack it back into place once the springs lowered.

Both ways do require removing the shocks and quads."

[Na] "I had heard of the control arm demounting trick and thought I'd experiment with a different approach. Used a pair of spring compressors and was even able to get the rubber spiral correctly located. It probably took longer than doing the control arm trick but I had the time and she had the beer.
Main thing is after the test drive - NO MORE tire scraping on the inside of the fender!"

Will aftermarket springs work?

No, sell them on Ebay and get a set of stock springs or go with the coil-over kit.
